Controlling the Electromagnetic Spectrum

Electronic Warfare

Answering the Challenge of Today’s Modern Battlespace

The electromagnetic spectrum (EMS) – while invisible – plays a very visible role in the modern multi-domain battle. As adversaries advance their electronic warfare (EW) capabilities and threats continue to evolve at a rapid pace, controlling the spectrum is increasingly critical.

To take advantage of the spectrum, the U.S. military uses a range of EW, signals intelligence, and electronic intelligence capabilities to detect, identify, and track threats while reducing the probability of detection by adversaries to protect our forces.

CACI develops and delivers precision EW solutions that offer a range of effects –  including kinetic, electronic, and cyber engagement – to defeat adversarial surveillance and reconnaissance, cellular, WiFi, command and control systems, and unmanned aircraft systems (UAS). Our family of systems is scalable and spans dismount, maritime expeditionary, small and large vehicle expeditionary, and both manned and unmanned platforms.

CACI’s approach to electronic warfare leverages national capabilities and rapidly evolves them for tactical use, such as to counter rapidly evolving UAS threats. One example of this is CACI’s SkyTracker™ systems, which are currently keeping airports and ground facilities safe worldwide.

Additionally, through the networking of disparate sensors, CACI can fuse many intelligence feeds to understand the adversary’s weapon capability and the relied upon communications links. This enables advanced electronic maneuver warfare and can better determine the optimal effects necessary to counter the threat.

While the solutions used in the field today are addressing the current threat, CACI is working to deliver solutions to defeat future threats. We use our Advanced Radio Frequency Exploitation System (ARES) Integration Lab to design, develop, integrate, test, and demonstrate integrated EW solutions.

ARES enables CACI to converge EW, cyber, and intelligence capabilities to develop modern warfare solutions in response to the needs of multi-domain battle in a joint and coalition environment. We use advanced technologies to support various missions, and we leverage the latest, state of the art commercial technologies and open standards to respond to threats at the pace of mission. ARES is a cost-effective way to quickly field EW and intelligence solutions for our nation’s military.
