Message from the CEO: 9/11 Reminds Us that Our Mission is Essential
This year will mark 20 years since September 11, 2001 – that fateful day that forever changed our country and our company.
Though two decades have passed, the memories of that day – the shock, the heartache, the incredible sorrow – remain fresh. For those of us not yet around when Pearl Harbor was attacked, 9/11 serves as that pivotal moment when our nation lost its innocence.
We showed our strength as a nation in the aftermath of the attacks, collectively resolving to take unprecedented and difficult steps to make America safer so that we’d never see a repeat of what happened on 9/11.
We should all take great pride in the part CACI plays in the never-ending and ever-evolving mission to protect our country. From that day 20 years ago – when CACI employees were on hand to help survivors at the Pentagon and keep State Department networks secure and running – to today, we have been a trusted partner in safeguarding America.
Ever Vigilant - the tagline we adopted two years after 9/11 – encapsulates our ironclad commitment to supporting customers and missions that protect our home front and those selflessly serving to defend our freedoms and way of life.
As we honor those who perished on 9/11 and salute the bravery of first responders and military service members who stood on the frontlines in Afghanistan and elsewhere in response to the attacks, let the anniversary of this day also be a reminder that the work we do at CACI is so essential. By working together to strengthen our company, we are contributing to our country’s security and helping to restore the peace of mind we had on September 10, 2001. I can think of no job more fulfilling than that.
