Electronic Warfare and Electronic Countermeasures (EW/ECM) Technologies
CACI’s EW/ECM suite of technologies is used by our Department of Defense (DoD) customers in some of the most demanding environments around the globe. Our customers require operationally responsive, resilient, and rugged EW, cyber, and ECM technologies and equipment to meet their missions. Our world-class radio frequency (RF) hardware designers and engineers produce innovative designs for hardware, software, antennas, and other components built to perform in demanding scenarios.
CACI’s mission-experienced EW, cyber, and ECM technical talent is expert in designing and rapidly fielding unique solutions that enhance performance and operational capability. Our team has extensive design experience with a wide range of frequencies, as well as experience designing and integrating tactical equipment with complex waveforms. We develop signal processing software for unique tasks like position tracking and signal classification. Our core competencies include:
- Industrial and mechanical design for EW, cyber, and ECM capabilities for a range of missions
- High volume manufacturing of complex software defined radio (SDR) capabilities
- Designing and building RF technologies that adhere to the strictest security requirements
- Extensive experience with National Security Agency (NSA) Type 1 product design for U.S. Government customers who need cryptographic equipment, components, or hardware for encrypting and decrypting classified or sensitive national security information
CACI’s RF hardware design team produces a range of size, weight, and power (SWaP)-optimized solutions for our customers across mission sets. From mobile, maritime, and airborne EW/ECM to body-worn electronic support (ES)/electronic attack (EA) technologies, our portfolio delivers tailored capabilities for uncompromising missions around the world. We also develop hardware and equipment to support these capabilities, such as lightweight, portable direction-finding (DF) antennas, wearable tactical antennas, and power amplification for EW/EA systems. Our solutions include:
Beast
Our widely deployed and operationally-proven dismount multichannel receiver, Beast performs survey, drive test, and surveillance of multiple push-to-talk and cellular protocols.
Beast+
Beast+ enhances the proven Beast multichannel receiver with the addition of a third receive channel and transmit capabilities for a single handheld transceiver that supports detection, DF, and attack of adversary signals of interest (SOIs).
Kraken
Our battle-proven multichannel SIGINT receiver provides battle-proven wideband scan and DF with eight channels of simultaneous receive, from the high frequency (HF) band to the super-high frequency (SHF) band, and is designed for balanced battery life, SWaP, and upgradeable performance.
eKraken
A modular and scalable electronic intelligence (ELINT) capability built on our Kraken hardware platform that delivers detection, identification/classification, and geolocation of wideband radar signals.
Dismount Multiband DF Head
Our smallest DF antenna available, providing highly portable DF capability for our entire portfolio of receivers.
Wideband Multiband DF Head
This rugged antenna expands DF capabilities for the range of our tactical SIGINT products and capabilities with frequency coverage from HF to SHF.
Low Band PA
Compatible with Beast, Beast+, and Kraken, the Low Band Power Amplifier (PA) is an ideal low SWaP battery-operated solution for dismount or mounted operations and proven to withstand extreme thermal conditions.
Wideband PA
The Wideband PA is an ideal low SWaP battery-powered solution for dismount or mounted operations and is proven to withstand extreme thermal conditions.
Scourge Antenna
Our wearable low-profile Scourge antennas are ideal ultra-lightweight antenna solutions for tactical operations that decrease visible signature and offer improved performance.
